Alternative Spring Break
Hello former ASBers, alumni and friends,
Welcome to the ASB alumni page. In 1987, a group of first-year students started Alternative Spring Break at Vanderbilt. Since then, the organization has grown exponentially. In 1991, the founders of Vanderbilt ASB created Break Away, an alternative break resource center based in Atlanta. Since that time, alternative breaks have continued to grow at college campuses and other service-minded institutions throughout the country.
We are an alumni wing to support the current students at Vanderbilt, connect ASB alumni through our chapters and create a place where students and alumni can share and celebrate their experiences. We'd love to have our student ASBers visit alumni in their cities of service during spring break. Please join us in a chapter near you as we raise awareness of the work ASB students do in your cities during spring break. Click your region below to view events.
